Often when you play online poker for money, the poker sites seem to want you to spend more and more; at Americas Cardroom this month it’s less and less however!
Americas Cardroom is giving away thousands of dollars to the players who play holdem at the smallest stake levels available – for two weeks, the Micro Race is on and it’s worth $5k. The $5k Micro Race is open to all Americas Cardroom members who play online poker for money on ring games from January 13th to January 27th. When you play at stakes levels $0.01/$0.02, $0.02/$0.05, and $0.05/$0.10 you will automatically earn points that will count towards the leaderboard race.
The leaderboard race will run for two weeks in total, and at the end of that time the prize pool will be shared out to the top 150 finishers, with the first place winner taking away $500. In order to increase your standing in the leaderboard race, you can earn extra points when you play holdem in Americas Cardroom OSS II Satellite tournaments. There will be OSS II Satellite tournaments running throughout the $5k Micro Race at hourly intervals at 5 minutes past the hour. The buy-in for these tournaments is $0.50 + 0.05 and in addition to earning 25 points, 1 seat is also guaranteed for an OSS II Super Satellite.
The Online Super Series II (OSS II) is currently underway at Americas Cardroom and is made up of 82 events with a total guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. There direct buy-ins for Online Super Series tournaments range from $3 to $215.
