Most major online poker operations run their own WSOP-like Series, and Carbon Poker are apparently no exception in this respect. This September, the site’s popular Carbon OPS (Carbon Online Poker Series) will be back, and it will be bigger and better than ever. This time around, the Series will feature a prize-pool of $2 million, and it will consist of no fewer than 79 events. The Main Event alone will offer a guarantee of $500k.
The Carbon OPS will last some 15 days, kicking off on September 14th and wrapping up on the 28th.
Playing in the Carbon OPS is as simple as 1-2-3: players can buy directly into the events for cash, or they can use tournament coupons to make their way to the tables. There are satellites running to many of the events, including the Main Event.

In addition to all the different buy-in levels and guarantees, the Carbon OPS also features a wide range of poker variants to cover the needs of all comers. Besides the usual Holdem games, Razz, Stud, Omaha and Badugi will also be featured, as well as mixed games like HORSE. To provide even more diversity, there are also two Mega Stacks events on the schedule, both of which will see players start with 15k chip stacks in order to minimize the effects of the luck factor as much as possible.
The greatest thing about the Carbon OPS is however the fact that there will be a minimum of 4
poker tournaments running each and every day of the Series.
The Series kicks off on Sunday, September 14, at 14:00, with event #1, the $5k guaranteed turbo event with re-buys, which features a buy-in of $1.1. The game-type for this event is
NL Holdem.
An hour later, another event kicks off: the $150k Super Deep NL Holdem event, which features a buy-in of $215.
The first day of the Series will see no fewer than 10 different events start up, so it will be quite action-laden indeed.
The Main Event consists of a series of Main Events, featuring different buy-in levels. The smallest of these is the $2.2 Main Event, which features a $5k guarantee, while the largest is the $530 Main Event, featuring a guarantee of $75k.
