PokerStars 6 to Be Discontinued: Enter PokerStars 7

PokerStars' software has long been considered the very best in the online poker industry, but the venerable version 6 has apparently reached the end of the line. In a recent announcement, the site has made it clear that following the next software update, version 6 would be retired for good, and version 7 would finally take over completely. What exactly does this mean for the hundreds of thousands of players at the site though? Apparently not a whole lot, because PokerStars have been extremely cautious about this relatively major change, and they have begun spoon-feeding the new software to their players a long time ago. About 450k players already use the software, and for these people, the move to PokerStars 7 only means that the link that allowed them revert to the previous version would simply disappear.
Sign up to PokerStars right now and give that new software a go! If you're a new registrant, the software update will be fully automatic.

Players still using version 6 of the software can update at the click of a button, but they don't actually have to do it. When the time of the of the next update comes, version 7 will automatically come into effect, as version 6 is retired for good. Before you ask: if you want to keep playing version 6, no, you will not be able to do that after the update.
Obviously, most players are probably concerned that some of the features they've grown used to in version 6 will disappear/will be overhauled. That is apparently not the case though. Most features - and yes, that includes the player notes, which one will be able to use the same way - will return more or less un-altered.
Sign up to PokerStars now or redeposit, and take advantage of the generous promotions offered by the site, through the brand-new PokerStars 7 software.
