The
PokerStars-sponsored UKIPT (UK and Ireland Poker Tour) may not be the biggest live poker series out there, but it is extremely attractive for the rank-and-file players, because it features low buy-ins, pro-rich starting fields and excellent prize-pools. Indeed, the schedule of the tour’s remaining season 4 stops (stretching into 2014) has been made public, and it’s quite obvious from the get-go who the organizers are aiming to please. All the main events feature pretty generous guarantees, and the buy-ins have remained low as well.
The first stop of 2014 will be the Edinburgh one, which is scheduled to kick off on January 16, wrapping up on January 20. Hosted by the Assembly Rooms, this one will be one of the more expensive stops of the tour: the buy-in is £1.1k, but there’s a £500k guarantee in place, so the value will be there nonetheless.
From Edinburg, the tour will head to Dublin, into the Mansion House, from February 27 to March 3.
The Dublin event is quite a bit cheaper at £770, but its guarantee is smaller as well, tipping the scale at £350k.
Nottingham will be the scene of the 3rd 2014 stop of the UKIPT. The Main Event will kick off on May 7, in the Dusk Till Dawn, featuring a £1.1k buy-in. The guarantee in this one is a massive £1 million though, so there will obviously be plenty of value to go around.
The Marbella event of the tour is scheduled to start on June 11, wrapping up on June 15. The buy-in for this one is £1,100 again, with a £500k guarantee.
There will be two additional 2014 stops before the UKIPT’s 4th season wraps up, one at the Villa Marina on the Isle of Man and one in London, which will essentially be the Grand Final of the Tour.
Sign up to PokerStars and make your way to one of the UKIPT’s 2014 stops through one of their online qualifiers.
