PokerStars is Back in the US!

Ever since Black Friday struck at the heart of the online poker industry in the US, American players have had to settle for playing at a number of lesser sites, skirting the law and generally not having nearly as much fun as they used to back in the golden days. Gone were the biggest online poker operators and the million dollar prize-pools, as were the games on which one could actually make a living. Now, 4 years after the Black Friday debacle, PokerStars are once again eyeing the US market: it has recently been announced that the operation would make its return on March 21 in New Jersey. Online poker and online gambling have been legalized in the Garden State for a while, and while other operators were allowed back sooner, PokerStars were kept on the sidelines due to a series of technicalities, despite the fact that they were the quickest to reimburse their US based players who were left with funds stuck in their accounts and despite being instrumental in settling the Full Tilt Poker sore.
Sign up to PokerStars right now. The world's biggest operator will soon make its move back into the US.

The New Jersey re-launch of the operation will be not much more than getting a foot in the doorway for the site though. The New Jersey market is small and none of the operators currently dominating the scene there have reported major volumes/success stories. and their live partner Borgata are the dominant force in the Garden State online poker market now, commanding a more than 50% market share. 888poker and Caesars have gobbled up the rest. The current size of the New Jersey online poker market is some $2 million per month, a number likely to be at least somewhat tweaked by PokerStars' entry.
Play at PokerStars: the biggest and best online poker site also has the best promotions the online poker industry can muster.
