It wasn't long ago that PokerStars' much-hyped (including on the pages of this site) millionaire maker month promotion kicked off, and the first millionaire has already been crowned, this morning to be exact. They were obviously lucky that it was their table where the big prize-pool struck, and that they both ended up taking down $100k, and they were unlucky because they missed out on the big score.

When it comes to picking up a cool million from one of PokerStars' Spin and Go's it would seem that Russians have a bit of a monopoly: the first ever such prize handed out by a Spin and Go came about on January 12, this year, and its recipient was a player known by the moniker sss66666, also from Russia. Until April 30, all those who buy into a $5 Spin and Go stand the chance to play for a prize-pool that will grant the winner $1 million.
