PokerStars Release MicroMillions VII Schedule

With all the eyes on Full Tilt Poker’s upcoming FTOPS XXV, it’s easy to overlook the fact that before March 30, when the above said online series kicks off, there’s plenty more action in store.
PokerStars’ MicroMillions are set to start on March 13, and scheduled to run through March 23. While the MicroMillions are definitely geared towards recreational players, featuring buy-ins as small as $0.11, the Series still promises to post pretty impressive numbers. It will consist of 100 events, the total guarantees of which are set to exceed $5 million. Of course, given the popularity of the Series, it is safe to look at the announced guarantee as a minimum when it comes to the prize-pools.
The highlight of the Series will of course be the $22 Main Event, which kicks off on March 23 and features a guaranteed prize-pool of $1 million. Indeed, the main draw of the MicroMillions is the excellent potential ROI that most of its events offer.
While the MicroMillions are mostly focused on
NL Holdem events, other poker variants will be represented as well: there will be Omaha, Draw and Stud too, in various betting structures.
According to PokerStars pro Marcin Horecki, the main draw of the MicroMillions is in the fact that there’s always something running/starting up, and one can play in tournament after tournament without the fear of putting a significant dent in his bankroll. The potential prizes are also extremely attractive of course.
The MicroMillions VII will feature a leader board race and the rewards handed out by this race are nothing short of amazing. The winner of the leader board will get to play in the Sunday Million for free for 6 months. For a good player, that alone is probably worth the trouble of taking part in the MicroMillions.
