PokerStars’ Special Anniversary Sunday Million

Whenever PokerStars decide to celebrate something, it usually means tons of extra value for their players, and this March 2, they celebrate the 8th anniversary of the biggest and richest weekend major of
online poker industry, the Sunday Million. Indeed, this time there will be quite a bit of extra value to go around too: kicking off in its usual time-slot on Sunday, the anniversary Sunday million will feature a guaranteed prize-pool of $8 million, which means that barring some sort of special arrangement, the eventual winner will walk away with at least $650k. The reason it’s safe to say “at least” is that the increased prize-pool is likely to draw in a bigger starting field and despite its formidable size, the guarantee may well be put to shame.
The anniversary Sunday Million will stick to its usual $215 buy-in, so the bigger prize-pool will not come at a bigger cost for players. Of course,
PokerStars players who do not fancy coughing up that much money for a tournament can use one of the numerous qualifiers offered by the site to win a seat.
The cheapest way to make one’s way into the $8 million Sunday Million is through one of the hourly feeder satellites which cost $1 to enter. These satellites get going on February 23. From February 28, their frequency will be stepped up, so they’ll be running every half an hour.
On the day of the Sunday Million, no fewer than two special Deadline Satellites will run, which will give away some 1,333 seats in the big one. There will also be a $33 Deadline Satellite running right before the event, which will hand out some 333 seats. Those more cash-strapped will be able to give qualifying a go through the $11 Deadline Satellite, which will send another 1,000 players to the Sunday Million.
Sign up to PokerStars now and take advantage of the $8 million anniversary Sunday Million. Use the above said satellites to qualify!
