PokerStars to Host Super High Roller in September

Super High Rollers (poker tournaments featuring buy-ins starting from $50k) have always been a rage on the live circuit: they give professional players the opportunity to leave the rank-and-file crowd behind and to do battle for massive prize-pools among themselves, with much better odds and much fewer distractions. Such massive high rollers have finally landed online too: PokerStars have recently announced that they would feature such a high roller as part of the next edition of their World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and that the $50k+$1k event would take place on September 20.
Set to kick off one week before the Main Event (the $5.2k buy-in of which is dwarfed by it), the $50k Super High Roller will probably attract a starting field seldom seen in
online poker: scores of professionals will hopefully descend upon its virtual tables, creating the kind of poker spectacle people have had to travel to Las Vegas to see until now.

According to PokerStars' Daniel Negreanu - who has but a few days ago made it all the way to 11th place in the 2015 WSOP Main Event - it was natural for the largest online poker site to host the tournament with the largest ever online buy-in. A number of other pros have expressed interest in the event too, among them Jason Mercier, also a PokerStars pro and a regular of the live high rollers. Others expected to turn up for the event are Eugene Katchalov, Isaac Haxton, Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Selbst and Johnny Lodden. The UK will also be represented by players like Sam Trickett, Jake Cody and others.
Play at PokerStars: their promotions are second to none and their cash games are now officially the best in the business.
