The first stages of the PokerStars World Cup of Poker are soon to get underway at PokerStars where the final table will be determined, and hopes and dreams may be realised.
The World Cup of Poker is one of the most exciting worldwide poker events, and in just a few days time the fun will all begin. In total there are 54 countries competing for a place in the Live Final which will be held as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure from January 4th to 14th in The Bahamas.
From August 20th onwards there will be the Regional Teams qualifiers at PokerStars with the Regional Teams finalized on August 31st to September 1st. September 3rd to 4th will see the Nation Team Deciders, and by September 11th the Divisional Teams will be finalised in preparation for the Divisional Play-Offs on September 13th.
Last year the German team beat 8 other teams to win the first place prize of $100,000 working out at $20,000 per player in the Live Final. This year, the prize will be the same and hopes are high; will Germany retain her title, will there be a surprise in the results! There will be 9 teams all together who will be invited to the Atlantis Hotel and Resort in the Bahamas, the home of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, where the 5 person team will tag team there way to success and glory – or so they hope.
