Scott Clements Plays Online While in Live Tournament

Multi tabling has been the rage in the online poker industry for quite a few years now. Enterprising minds never cease to explore the various depths and heights to which the concept can be taken though, and on Sunday, Scott Clements took multi-tabling to an entirely new and never before explored level: he played in the WSOP-C’s Main Event in Vancouver, and given how slow live games sometimes get, he found a creative way to fill out his downtime: he played online on his iPad. While he failed to get anything going in the live event (we have no word on whether or not he was distracted by his online games), he did well online, logging profits of more than $100k.
The money came from two victories, one of which happened in the Sunday 500 at PokerStars, which he took down, pocketing the $74.7k top prize. He also won the PokerStars Hotter $55, which landed him a $26.3k prize.

Clements wasn’t the only one to rake in major tournament profits over the weekend. PokerStars held their $55 Red Spade Open special, which offered a guarantee of $1 million. No fewer than 32,500 players showed up for the event though, taking the prize-pool to $1.62 million. The tournament saw a 5-deal at its top, which meant that the eventual winner, a player known by the online moniker “bartasPL” who won $163.9k, would not be the biggest earner. That honor went to second-place finisher Agrobot_388Z, who took home $225.6k for his efforts.
Two more players finished with 6-figure prizes: 3rd place man stathos, who walked away with $125.3k, and 4th place finisher loo2er_13, who pocketed $103.2k. The 5th player who took part in the deal was Pittonnn666 who earned $90k.
PokerStars’ Sunday Million was won by martyyy, who made no deals, taking home a $239.1k prize.
Play at PokerStars and take part in their weekend majors. Some of these events carry some outstanding value indeed.
