The
EPT’s Season 11 London stop is finally in the books after a week of green felt battles, and the winner of the big one, the Main Event, has finally been crowned. Germany’s Sebastian Pauli walked away with the goods at the end of it all, after he defeated Kevin MacPhee of the US heads-up for the title and the £499.7k top prize.
MacPhee’s reward for his deep run was £308.5k, so he didn’t have a whole lot to complain about either, at least from a financial perspective.
The final table of the tournament was a high-profile one: two of the players who made the final 8 had already experienced the thrill of an EPT home dash: besides MacPhee, who finished runner-up as said above, and who had won the Season 6 Berlin Main Event, Jake Cody, the winner of the Season 6 Deauville title, was also there.

As the final table kicked off, for its first level, some truly spectacular poker action ensued. Although none of the eight players bit the dust during this stage, some of the folds they made were really superb, as were some of the hands made.
Eventually, after several hours of back and forth, Pablo Gordillo of Spain became the first victim of the final table. His reward was £51.9k.
He was followed to the rail by Jonathan Bensadoun from France, whose £75.9k prize was the last one not to cross the 6-figure mark.
Jakub Mrozek, bounced in 6th place, took home £104.2k for his efforts. Jake Cody bit the dust in 5th place, followed by Germany’s Arture Koren in 4th.
Kevin Killeen’s elimination in 3rd place set up the heads-up stage of the tournament. The final hand of the event saw Pauli’s A,Q best MacPhee’s A,10.
