September alterations at Team PokerStars

This month has seen the back of one of PokerStars' best loved players; however new blood has already arrived to fill the gap. Good bye Isabelle Mercier, hello Fatima Moreira de Melo.
Isabelle Mercier burst onto the poker scene when she became Ladies Night II Victor back in 2004, and the rest as they say is history. She's been a PokerStars regular throughout her poker career, but after 5 years she's calling it a day and moving her chips on to other pastures. Not to let her spot go cold however, PokerStars are welcoming a new team member who has already established herself as a sports legend, all be it not yet in poker.
Fatima Moreira de Melo will be joining the PokerStars SportsStars team where she will be one of just 5 internationally acclaimed sports stars who will be gracing the PokerStars tables as well as representing the site at live tournaments. De Melo will be joining current members Boris Becker, Mats Sundin, Sebastien Chabal, and Sami Selio, making her the first female player on the team. De Melo has played for Holland in the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Olympic hockey teams where she won bronze, silver and gold respectively. Like Mercier who is a graduate of Law, de Melo also studied law but she has also become a well known personality in Holland due to various television appearances as well as her singing career; clearly a woman of many talents and you can now meet her at PokerStars!
