The EPT London Main Event Is On

The EPT’s London Main Event has always been something of an outlier with its £5k buy-in seriously limiting the number of those who would consider playing. The organizers noted that too though and this year, they have reduced the buy-in to £4k in an effort to push the event back into line in regards to the number of participants it attracted. Sure enough, the results of the move were instantaneous: we are currently witnessing the largest EPT London Main Event since 2011 and with the second Day 1 flight in the books, it is now obvious that the measures undertaken by the organizers were indeed the right ones. Day 1B saw a starting field of 440 players belly up to the tables, overshadowing the yield of Day 1A.
Play at PokerStars and use their superb online qualifiers to make your way to one of the Main Events of the Season 11 EPT.

The player who finished the day with the largest stack of chips was Georgios Zisimopoulos who had 171.5k chips when all was said and done. Leo Nordin had a good day as well: he finished second with 169.1k chips. Nicolas Chouity was third with 152.7k chips. The Greek player’s rally came late in the day, but the one who held the lead for most of the day was Nordin, who scored a KO shortly after the beginning of the action and managed to hang on to his advantage almost till the end. So far in the event, Team PokerStars pros have turned in an outstanding performance. Both on Day 1A and Day 1B, they all earned their Day 2 seats without a single exception.
Liv Boeree was among these pros: she will begin her Day 2 run behind a stack of 102.4k chips.
