The Online Poker Weekend – Daniel Colman among Winners

Even though the majority of the headlines this weekend were stolen by the launch of WSOP.com, the second fully legal real money online poker site in Nevada, and probably the first one to bring world-class action and promotions to the table, the weekend majors rolled on the same way they always do, with the difference that this time around, the WCOOP played a bit of a role too.
Since there was no Sunday Million this weekend, most of the limelight was stolen by the $10.3k High Roller Heads-up event of the 2013 WCOOP, which saw 61 players cough up the substantial buy-in. Needless to say, all the participants were seasoned and well bankrolled pros.
The eventual winner, Daniel Colman, got a pretty difficult final four to beat: Martin Finger and Jacob Rasmussen were both there for the home straight, together with Alexander Roumeliotis.
Colman made no deals on his way to the top and the $172.5k top prize. He bested Martin Finger heads-up. Finger ended up collecting a rather handsome $163k for his efforts.
Jacob Rasmussen finished 3rd, followed by Roumeliotis in 4th. Only the two top finishers got a 6-figure payday.

Full Tilt Poker’s MiniFTOPS Main Event was another major weekend tournament, which saw 10,863 players belly up to its tables. The resulting prize-pool was a $760.4k one, which meant that the winner, Luke Fields, got to take home $117.8k. Fields made no deals with anyone.
The runner-up was a player known as “JOBYTOYCE”, who got rewarded with $79.8k.
Rayan Nathan made a deep run in this one too: he finished 4th for $40.4k.
Full Tilt’s $250k guarantee saw no deals made either. The winner, “lefty1177” cut himself a $69.6k slice of the $348k prize-pool. There were no 6-figure winners in this event.
Sign up to Full Tilt Poker and play in the MiniFTOPS. The MiniFTOPS is all about massive potential ROI.
