The Online Poker Weekend – Kevin Iacofano Among Winners

Kevin Iacofano is by no means a stranger to massive online poker weekend guarantees. As a matter of fact, he came close to winning the biggest one, the Sunday Million, this April, when he eventually ended up just short of the top spot, in second place. Having come so close to winning and being forced to go home as the first of the losers certainly left him with something to prove. This weekend though, he came back with a vengeance and what eluded him half a year ago was finally within his grasp again. This time he went all the way, winning the Sunday Million and taking home the biggest single prize of the weekend. The poker tournament saw 7,184 players belly up to its tables, having generated a prize-pool of $1,438,800, well above the $1 million guarantee.
Iacofano struck a heads-up deal with eventual runner-up dulek_jason. He ended up taking home a $197,052 prize for his efforts, while the runner-up was rewarded with $177,052. There was another 6-figure winner in the event: third place man 19VICTOR89, who pocketed $114,944 for his efforts.
Notables who finished deep in the event were Adam Junglen, who finished 20th for a $ 3.3k reward, and Johnny Lodden who was rewarded with $2k for his 68th place.

The Sunday Warm-Up saw 3,552 players belly up to the tables, creating a prize-pool of $710.4k. This event only created one 6-figure winner: salfshb bested Butros heads-up to take down the $111.5k top prize. Toni Judet played in this one too: he finished 13th for a $3.1reward. Mickey Petersen ended up in 76th place for a $1.1k haul.
None of the other Sunday majors (and there were quite a few of them indeed) created any 6-figure winners.
