The weekend tournament action was hot again as several “name” players managed to sneak their names onto the winners’ list. The notable with the biggest weekend tournament profit was Maria Ho, who won the Sunday 500. The biggest winner of the weekend was the winner of
PokerStars’ Sunday Million yet again though, a player known by the online moniker “power941”. The share of the winner was $235.8k, as there were no deals made at the top.
The biggest weekend major drew a starting field of 7,863 players. The resulting prize-pool was $1.57 million.
The player the eventual winner bested heads-up was “plenny004”, who ended up with a $172.9k prize. Third place finisher “karopi8ikaki” was the last 6-figure winner, with $117.9k.
The deepest-finishing notable was David Vamplew, who took home $4.16k for his 18th place.
The Sunday Warm-up saw a starting field of 3,639 players belly up to its tables, creating a prize-pool of $727.8k. There was a 4-way deal at the top in this one. The winner was “krec23” who took home $94.3k for his efforts. Because of the said deal, no one in this event managed to finish with a 6-figure prize. The winner’s share of the prize-pool was indeed the biggest cut.
Dejan Divcovic was the deepest-finishing notable in this
poker tournament: he just missed the above said 4-way deal, having finished 6th. His cut of the loot was $30.9k.
The Sunday 500 had 893 players belly up to the tables. Maria Ho made no deals on her way to the top: she took down the entire $80.3k share of the winner. Nicolas Chouity played in this event too: he finished 6th for a $17.8k prize. Jacob Carlsson made the top 10 as well: he finished 8th, picking up $8.9k for his efforts.
