The Online Poker Weekend - Ravi Shaymardanov Dominates

The online poker tournament action over the weekend was dominated by one player in a rather categorical manner...come to think of it, "dominated" may be an understatement in this case...the top ranks of the
tournaments were especially pro-heavy, and while several of these pros had great paydays, none of them came even close to Shaymardanov's performance, who reached two final tables - in the Sunday Second Chance and the Sunday Warm-Up - eventually winning the Warm-up altogether. The two final tables came within only a couple of hours for the Russian, who ended up with the biggest win of his poker career: $108k.
In the Warm-up, he made a heads-up deal with eventual runner-up Chris Brammer. In the Second Chance, he made it all the way to 3rd place, pocketing an additional $23k.

Despite Shaymardanov's stellar run, the biggest winner of the weekend still came from PokerStars' Sunday Million. rportaleoni won this one, taking home the $166.7k top prize, which could've been more, had it not been for the 4-way deal that was struck among the top finishers. Sanjay Sahijwany finished runner-up for $136.4k, while fournn finished 3rd for $98.2k (the only one of the top 4 to get less than $100k). 4th place finisher Ice B ended up with $130.7k.
Martin Finger cashed in the event too: he finished 40th for $2.5k. The Sunday Million had 6,558 players show up at its tables, creating a prize-pool of $1.33 million.
As said above, the Sunday Warm-up was won by Shaymardanov, who pocketed $85.2k. Runner-up Chris Brammer had to settle for $75.2 after a two-way deal. The tournament saw 2,929 players register, creating a prize-pool of $585.8k.
