The Poker Grapevine – Chris Moorman to Hit $10 Million Mark

It is indeed difficult to believe that a person could amass $10 million in profits playing online poker, yet that’s exactly what Chris Moorman of the UK is about to achieve. Moorman has always been known as a major online poker buff, and he has been extremely successful at the live tables too, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise that he is the one about to reach the historic milestone.
Currently, Moorman is only about $30k off the $10 million mark and knowing him, it won’t take him long to get there. According to some, he may clear the hurdle as early as this weekend since the WCOOP is running and Moorman is a known online poker tournament specialist. As matter of fact, calling him a “tournament specialist” is probably something of an understatement in light of his accomplishments: he’s won no fewer than 15 online poker Triple Crowns (to those who may not know it: an online poker Triple Crown consists in the winning of three tournaments within a 24-hour span), and he finished in the top 3s of various online tournaments 545 times. Apparently, he’s finished in the money in no fewer than 5,856 online events. If one were to do the math on that, the $10 million wouldn’t seem like such an unlikely number anymore.

Despite his spectacular online poker achievements, Moorman cannot boast an actual title, so at his newly launched website, he simply calls himself “the most decorated online poker player in the world”, and given his achievements, that’s not a far-fetched title to bestow upon him indeed.
As far as live tournament action goes, he’s got about $2.8 million in profits, so he’s no push-over at the live tables either.
