The Poker Grapevine – Marc Macdonnell Makes Deep Run in Sunday Million

Obviously, when it comes to online poker, it is the dream of every reasonable player to make his/her way to the top of PokerStars’ Sunday Million and to eventually take down a massive prize, after all, this is the main draw of the event. While some never manage to take their dream anywhere near fruition, professional player Marc Mcdonnell crossed this objective off his bucket list the other day.
He first made his way into the final stage of the event, and then he put himself into perfect position to go all the way: with 5 players remaining, he had the largest stack and the best odds for victory. While he eventually faltered, fading away in 3rd place, through a deal he and the other top finishers struck, he managed to secure almost 1st place money. To make a long story short: his Sunday Million deep run ended in a $196k payday.
Sign up to PokerStars and play in their weekend majors where a 6-figure score is always within arm’s reach.

In other news: British pro Brent Lenton has embarked on a rather unique poker challenge. He set out to win at least 100 buy-ins at the PLO tables within a time-frame of just 31 days. The challenge is by no means an easy one: according to its rules, Lenton has to play at blinds of at least $5/$10, which means that he will be squaring off against elite opposition.
If he manages to fulfill his goals, Lenton will take down some $200k, as some of the biggest names in the game, like Isaac Haxton and Ben Tollerene have apparently bet against him.

In still other news: poker pro Rick Trigg has amassed more than $5 million in online tournament profits. Trigg has won an event at PokerStars and he finished second in The Hot $75.
Join PokerStars and play in their countless events, all of which give you the opportunity to take down massive prizes and to eventually join the elite of the poker world.
