We haven’t even seen 2011 off yet and online poker rooms are already preparing to get 2012 going in style. PartyPoker is one of the poker rooms looking to get their players involved in a massive guaranteed MTT in early 2012. The PartyPoker Winter Million will feature a $1 million guarantee, which will probably be surpassed with ease. The buy-in is $600+$40 but players have had plenty of opportunities to qualify online for much less: some of the online qualifiers only cost $1 to enter.
The event takes place on February 5, but it’s still not early to start thinking about qualifying.
Those looking to take part in some high stakes live action before February 5, already know where they’ll be headed: the Aussie Millions features a Main Event which costs $10.6k to enter. Buying in is possible directly, but the best way to earn a seat is online at PokerStars. Aussie Millions qualifiers offer $16k packages, each of which include the $11,4k buy-in for the Main Event, 8 nights at the Crown Promenade Hotel and a $2.5k batch which players can spend any way they want to.
During January,
PartyPoker will also run a rake-free promotion: all the MTTs run by the site during the promotion period will feature $0 tournament fees. There are First Depositors freerolls running too, and everything is topped off with a generous reload bonus to get existing players involved as well.
During Christmas, PartyPoker will refill its players’ pocket with cash. Those who open a PartyPoker account will get $25 credited to their accounts right away. That’s not all however. Players can secure another $25 batch, by simply earning 200 Party Points. The bonus is a no deposit one: players do not need to make a deposit to qualify.
In other news: Tony G has shot a Christmas video in which he urges Phil Hellmuth to retire.
