With the WSOP appearing ever more menacing on the horizon, something new regarding the Big Dance surfaces every day. Last week for instance, the WSOP unveiled the new bracelets which will adorn the wrists of all the 2012 winners. The new bracelets were ‘taken up a notch’ by celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben, who has created a true work of art. The new WSOP bracelets will be made of 14 carat gold, and they will feature a whole bunch of ‘subtle’ additions, like the four suits, which will be made of rubies and black diamonds. Each bracelet will contain 35 carats of diamonds and each of them will weigh 160 grams. This year, those who win a bracelet will indeed have something to celebrate.

online poker, have just taken things one step further: they have launched a social gaming platform. What makes this platform different from all the social games (including online poker) that have been available for years now? One may ask…bwin.party’s move is a truly revolutionary one in light of the fact that it merges real money gaming with social networking, and that has never before been attempted.
According to bwin.party officials, the move is meant to take advantage of this extremely fast-growing market segment and it represents a major opportunity for the company. The expansion into social is one with a long-term goal too: bwin.party officials are looking to please shareholders with this move for a long time to come.
In still other news: North Carolina lawmakers have been busy for the last few days debating whether or not to allow real money live poker at the only casino in the state.
