As sweet as the idea of Daniel Negreanu making the final nine of the
2015 WSOP was, the poker world was forced to abandon it about an hour ago when Kid Poker bit the dust in 11th place, falling 2 spots short of promised land. By the time the dinner-break came around today, it was obvious that things weren't going particularly well for him. He was in the midst of "dangerous times" yet he was still hanging on and as long as someone like him has a fighting chance, there should still be hope. At one point following the dinner-break, he was down to little more than 7 million chips, but he managed to chip back up to 12 million.
Later on, Matt Guan forced him to fold. The end of that hand (142nd), found Negreanu's stack down at 4.5 million chips.

Later on, Kid Poker managed to chip back up at the expense of Turyansky, but it was all part of his final flare-up. 8.5 million strong at that point, Negreanu started heading downhill for good. McKeehen put the squeeze on him then several times, before finally getting him all-in. What would turn out to be Kid Poker's last hand saw all his chips go into the middle on a flop of 10d,Kc,Ad. McKeehen called immediately. Negreanu then revealed As 4d against McKeehen's Jd, 3d. The 3h on the turn was OK for Negreanu, but the Qh on the river gave his opponent an A-high straight and the Main Event came to an end for the Canadian.
Everything considered, Negreanu's run in the Main Event was an impressive one nonetheless: he picked up $536.7k for his efforts.
