Vinsant repeats Full Tilt $1k Monday win

Jeremiah Vinsant, known online as “Believer8219” won the Full Tilt $1k Monday for the second time in two months. What are the odds on that? - one may ponder, and rightfully so. Vinsant won the $1k Monday on April 6th first, then came back and pulled the feat off once again this Monday, having started off a short-stack at the final table.
The event attracted 314 players, and featured a top prize of $78,500. Carter King (ckingusc) ended up as the final table bubble boy, as he was eliminated in 10th place for a prize of $3,925.
Liina Vark was the first elimination of the final table. “Liina Love” pushed all-in with her K,J shortly after the final table was set, against titantom32’s A,9. The flop, which fell 7,9,J put Liina in the lead, the turn landed a 10 and as the river fell a 9, it made titantoon32’s set to send Liina to the rail in 9th place. She picked up $6,280 for her efforts.
Moosetund was eliminated in 8th place after his A,K lost the coin-flip against shmuliik’s pocket tens. He still had a couple of BBs left in his stack though after that hit, and shoved all-in again on the very next hand on QQ. Player A6540 called him with K,4o and it soon became obvious that Lady Luck didn’t want Moosetund at the table anymore, as the K that fell on the river sealed his fate in 7th.
Jcgoheels fell in 6th, followed by Shmuliik in 5th. The latter was eliminated by Vinsant in two moves.
Fill aivi fell in 4th place, at the hands of the same Jeremiah Vinsant. Vinsant made the move on his pocket 9s and got called by aivi on A,8d. The board bricked out and fill aivi picked up the $29.045 for his 4th place.
Lore 8928 fell in third, setting up the heads-up stage between Vinsant and Tom Braband. The two started off with almost even stacks, though the balance would soon tilt Vinsant’s way decisively.
The final hand saw all the money go into the middle on the flop, with Vinsant holding a set of 8s over Braband’s gutshot straight draw. Braband failed to fill his draw up and the tournament was over.
