The 6th day of the 2011 WCOOP is in the books and familiar faces have popped up among the winners during that day.
One such repeat-winner was Anders Berg, who took down his 3rd overall WCOOP bracelet, equaling Ryan Golfa’s all-time WCOOP bracelet record.
The other repeat winner was Brryann from the Netherlands, who took down his second ever WCOOP jewelry.
Event #14, the $250 NL Holdem 6-max Knockout Two Day event, was the first one to wrap up on Day 6. The event was supposed to offer a $500k guarantee, but the 3,568 players who registered for it propelled the prize-pool to $713.6k. There was also a $178.4k bounty pool.
A player known as Tat0chka won this event, pocketing the $110k top prize. crispoker10 finished second, followed by Hustlaaaaa in third.
Event #16, the $200 PLO Six-Max event was the one that Berg won. The event offered a $250k guarantee, but the prize-pool was a $390k one. There were 1,952 registrants in the event.
Anders Berg bested N_O_S_I_E heads up to take down the $61.4k prize, and the bracelet, which was probably worth more than that in his book. The second-place man finished with $45.8k.
Event #17 attracted a starting field of 390 players. The prize-pool was a $78k one in this $200 NL 2-7 Draw lowball affair. The winner, Brryann, bested none other than Jon Turner heads-up to claim the $16.3k top prize. Turner took down a little more than $11k for his efforts.
Event #18, the $300
NL Holdem one, with 10-minute blind levels saw 2,295 players belly up to the tables. N4kai, rockstar2 and sirtenzoe struck a deal at the top which left the eventual winner, N4kai, with a prize of $107.5k. The second place man pocketed $74k. sirtenzoe finished 3rd for a $73.1k reward. Alexlabatyuk finished 4th for a little more than $42k.
