The second day 1 flight of the $1.1k
NL Holdem accumulator event of the
WSOP APAC is in the books too, and French pro Antoine Saout emerged with the largest stack, although he did in fact miss out on the overall chip lead, by a rather substantial margin.
A total of 337 new entrants showed up at the Crown Casino at the beginning of the day with hopes of securing a Day 2 seat. 54 players remained standing at the end of the second day 1 flight, holding out hope that the bracelet may still end up in their possession.
Saout has managed to accumulate 58.8k chips, slightly more than second place finisher Daniel Levy, who had 56.7k chips bagged.
Saout had played on Day 1A too, when he got off to a more than decent start, only to fade away later, hitting the rail before the end of the day. Having returned to the tables of the Crown Casino with a vengeance, the Frenchman put together a superb Day 1B run. Whether or not he’ll play on Day 1C remains to be seen. Jonathan Karamalikis had a good day 1B as well: he finished the
poker tournament 7th, with 36.6k chips. Jackie Glazier had a good day too as did Melanie Weisner who made the top 10 as well.
Jeremy Ausmus and Russell Thomas were among the Day 1B survivors as well. After he logged a pretty decent Day 1A effort, Phil Hellmuth, the Poker Brat, the holder of the most WSOP bracelets to date, returned on Day 1B as well. The day wasn’t kind to him though: he busted out after he failed to win a single pot – as he claimed via Twitter.
Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari were among the eliminated as well.
