WSOP-C Horseshoe Hammond Main Event – Day 2

The second day of the WSOP-C’s Horseshoe Hammond Main Event saw the survivors of the two day 1 flights return to the tables. They were joined by several late registrants who were allowed to buy into (or back into) the event, paying $1,675 and getting less than 10-blinds worth of chips for it. There were a few high profile late registrants indeed: Michael Mizrachi and his brother Robert both chose to take advantage of the opportunity. Unfortunately, the meager amount of chips failed them both and they busted out of the
poker tournament yet again.
Eventually, the total number of registrants was made public, together with related relevant data: 1,536 players paid out the buy-in, creating a prize-pool of $2.3 million. 171 players would be paid. The min-cash was set to $2.71k. The winner’s share of the loot is $385.9k.
The player who finished the day with the largest stack of chips was Claudia Crawford, who managed to build a stack of 3.4 million. Crawford had a pretty average start to her day, however, about midway through, she took down a massive pot from James Nelson, when her Ac, Jc got the better of Nelson’s A,3o. That pot gave her stack a huge jolt, and she used that momentum to shoot past the 1 million chip mark. She never looked back from there on out though, as she played better and better, right up to the last level of the day.
Brad Albrinck finished the day second in chips. Phillip Liou was the start of the day chip leader. He may have started the day with the largest stack, but when the action was over, he wasn’t to be seen among the handful of survivors.
