WSOP-E – Jeremy Ausmus Wins Event #4

The 7th day of the 2013 WSOP-E was bustling with action. No fewer than 4 events rolled on, and two of them ended up playing down to their respective winners. One of them was event #3, which saw only two players return to its tables.
Darko Stojanovic and Dan O’Brien returned to complete the heads-up stage of the poker tournament and indeed, that’s what they did: Stojanovic pulled off a rare deed, starting with a 3-1 chip disadvantage and bouncing back to eventually take the title and the top prize.
Stojanovic set off on the right foot, doubling up on the second hand of the heads-up match. Eventually, he turned the tables for good. The final hand of the tournament saw his pocket 7s triumph over O’Brien’s Ah, 5h, and he was off to Disneyland.

Event #4, the €1,650 PLO Omaha one, saw 6 players return to the tables, and the one who walked away with the goods when all had been said and done, was 2012 October Niner Jeremy Ausmus, who finally managed to secure his first gold bracelet. Since he made the final table of the 2012 Big Dance, he has been around making waves and finishing deep in many a WSOP event. He never really managed to go all the way though until the other day.
The player he defeated heads-up for the title was Finland’s Juha Helppi, who picked up €43.4k for his efforts. The winner’s share of the prize-pool was a handsome €70.3k.

Event #5, the €2.2k NL Holdem one, saw its second day kick off with 102 players. When the chips were bagged at the end of it all though, only 7 were left standing, among them chip leader Erik Seidel.

Event #6, the €3.25k Mixed Max PLO one kicked off with 127 players hitting the tables. 29 players were left alive at the end of the day, with Finland’s Akku Joentausta leading the pack.
