WSOP Heading to Melbourne

The World Series of Poker will apparently head to Melbourne Australia for the first time in its history, looking to kick-start the first ever World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific series.
The WSOP has made its schedule public the other day, making it clear that the venue for the first stop of the series will be Sidney's famed Crown Casino. The event will take place in the spring, between April 4 April 15, and it will give players the chance to grab no fewer than 5 WSOP bracelets - which will certainly prove to be a magnet for name competitors. The reason why the organization decided to publish its WSOP APAC schedule this early was to offer interested parties all over the world the chance to plan ahead. The first event kicking off on April 4 is a No Limit Holdem Accumulator event, which features a buy-in of AUD$1,100.
The culmination of the stop is obviously the Main Event which takes place on April 11 and which features a buy-in of AUD$10,000. The stop comes complete with a high roller event in which a seat costs AUD$50,000. The Crown Casino has obviously welcomed the news, and given the amount of interest and publicity that the event will generate, they were quite probably right to do so.

As far as the schedule is concerned, players of all tastes and bankroll sizes will be well catered for. Grabbing the prized piece of gold jewelry won't only be possible for those with deep pockets. Players enjoying Omaha and mixed games won't be left out in the cold either.
The bottom line is that while the event may not be as high profile one as the WSOPE for instance, it will definitely see quite a diverse and numerous crowd descend on the tables come April.
