WSOP Main Event Champ Ryan Riess is Hatching Big Plans

The winning of the WSOP’s Main Event comes with responsibilities for certain types of players, while for others it’s nothing more than a winning lottery ticket. Indeed, some players seem to take it to heart to become ambassadors of the game, thus attempting to repay the poker gods the favor. Others simply fade into the sunset, doubtlessly thankful, but feeling they owe the community and the game nothing at all.
Greg Merson and Piuz Heinz were two quiet winners, but the winner most representative of the second above described category is probably Jerry Yang who never really made any decent attempts to stay connected with the live/online poker circuit.
Joe Hachem on the other hand, together with Chris Moneymaker has given a lot back to the game following his Main Event win. It looks like Ryan Riess is not planning to fall off the radar either. If his tweets and other online communications are any indication, he’s already planning a busy 2014.
He has apparently put together a high roller package for next year and he’s already selling pieces of it. The package includes two 100k high rollers, two 25k ones a 15k one and three 10k ones. Those interested can purchase every 1% of the said package for $3.250. The high rollers will cover the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the WPT World Championship as well as the Aussie Millions.

After his Main Event victory, the cautious Riess said he wasn’t really going to play in any of the $100k high rollers unless he sold pieces of his action, even though he doubtlessly has the bankroll for it. With the above in mind, it is clear that Riess doesn’t just plan to stick around, he actually has a pretty realistic battle-plan drawn up to reduce variance as much as possible.
Play at PokerStars and use their generous live event qualifiers to make your way into a major live event for small change.
