The 4th day of action at the World Series of Poker Europe failed to award any new bracelets, but the second event of the series, the €1,1k NL Holdem event, rolled down to its final stretch, and a new event, the €5.3k PLO one, kicked off.
The second day of the €1,1k NL Holdem event saw 98 players belly up to the tables. The field successfully played down to the final 15, with Antonin Teisseire in the lead.
Teisseire managed to build a stack of 269.5k chips. Antonio Esfandiari played well through the day too and he eventually finished with a stack only 5k chips smaller than that of the leader.
The big objective looming at the beginning of the day for the field was the money bubble, set for 63rd place. 35 players needed to bite the dust in order to reach that objective. Among those who left the
poker tournament short of the money were David Benyamine and John Tabatabai. The official bubble-boy of the event was Jean Marie Morvan, who was eliminated by Dominik Nitsche on a K,3o vs Q3o match-up. Marvin Rettenmaier dropped a huge pot to Tristan Wade, crippling his stack shortly after the bursting of the money-bubble. He eventually bit the dust in 47th place, collecting €2.1k for his efforts.
Dominik Nitsche busted out eventually too, picking up €2.6k for his 34th place. He was followed to the rail by Eric Cajelais, who finished 27th for €3.8k. John Monnette was eliminated in 23rd place.
The €5.3k PLO event drew 97 players on its first day. 8 levels of action went into the day, at the end of which only 25 players remained. Erich Kollmann was the one who clinched the chip lead. Jason Mercier survived the first day of action too, albeit on a rather short stack. Bruno Fitoussi on the other hand managed to build a 108.6k chip monster, enough for second place. Vanessa Selbst and Sam Chartier will return to the tables as well.
