WSOPE – Day 7 Action

The 7th day of the World Series of Poker Europe saw another bracelet awarded. The recipient of the bracelet this time around was Giovanni Rosadoni, who was one of only two players to return for the final day of the €3,250 NL Holdem Shootout. The other player was Dan O’Brien. Rosadoni had quite a chip lead at the beginning of the final day and he wasn’t about to give up control of the action. He chipped away at his opponent’s stack and got him to the edge of elimination, but O’Brien bounced back and he even took the lead at one point. It was then his turn to use his large stack to bully his opponent into submission and soon, Rosadoni was indeed struggling for his poker tournament life. That was the lowest point of the heads-up bout for Rosadoni though. From there on out, he began chipping up and eventually, he managed to land the finishing blow at the end of a K,K vs As,Js match-up. Rosadoni picked up €107k for his win, while the runner-up was rewarded with €66.5k.

Event #5, the €10,450 Mix Max NL Holdem one saw its second day go into the books. 52 players returned to the action and of them 16 had chips bagged at the end of the day.
Brandon Cantu was the one who clinched the chip lead at the end of the day. Cantu had an excellent day and dominated his table, even though at one point Phil Hellmuth was seated there too. The two pros quickly got into a verbal duel, which they will get an excellent chance to settle given that they’ll face each-other in the first round of the heads-up stage of the event.

Event #6, the €1,650 Six-Handed PLO one, saw 206 players belly up to the tables on its first day. 8 solid levels of action went into the day, at the end of which 26 players remained. Jacob Dahl clinched the chip lead at the end of the day.
