The European Championship of Online Poker, which Titan Poker hosts year after year now, has grown bigger than ever before. The very first ECOOP took place in 2007 (in December) over a period of 10 days, and it awarded players prizes totaling a whooping $2.5 million. The first ECOOP has changed the lives of quite a few of the players involved, and it gave the game of online poker a whole new dimension.
The second ECOOP took place earlier this year, in May, and the prize-pool was an astonishing $3.6 million, quite a bit of improvement over the first edition.
The third ECOOP, which is set to take place this November, will be much bigger from all angles than the previous two. Instead of 10 days, the tournaments will now take up a full fortnight. The prize-pool will also hover somewhere around the $4.1 million mark, possibly more. If you’ve always dreamt of making it to the WSOP to play in a set of tournaments over several days, well this here is the prefect chance for you. Since it all takes place online it’ll save you the travel and accommodations costs, not to mention the jitters that will inevitably set in at a live table.
The different events featured by the ECOOP III will include Texas Holdem, Omaha and 7-card Stud in various formats (turbo, 6 max etc). Buy-ins will range from $100+$9 (very reasonable even for the low-stakes, low-budget players) to $2,500+$100. The Main Event is the last one on the ECOOP’s schedule, and it will run on the 14th day, featuring a guaranteed prize-pool of $1, million. The buy-in to the Main Event will cost $1,000+$60. You can buy into any of these tournaments directly, or you can try to win your virtual seat via the online qualifiers Titan Poker features. The ECOOP is indeed a great opportunity to take a shot at a big prize-pool, a move that could potentially change your life.
