Titan Poker is buckling up for the first live poker event it sponsors: the Eurocity Poker Tour Madrid Open.
Set to start on May 9th, The Eurocity Poker Tour takes place in the famous Casino Gran Madrid.
Titan poker sends 66 players to the event, all of whom have earned their tournament seats through Titan Poker’s online qualifiers.
The value of a package qualified players have won is $3,000, and it includes the buy-in for the ECPT Madrid Open (which costs $1,000+S100), 3 nights accommodation for two (bringing a friend or a spouse along is always a good idea), two meals per day and a cocktail party.
Online qualifiers have been running for the ECPT Madrid Open since February, with the direct satellite costing $250+$25 to enter. Another Super Satellite was available for $100+$9, with sub- sub satellites running daily from as little as $1+$0.1.
The 66 excited winners are all from Europe, except one guy who is from Canada.
The excitement of the situation was well conveyed by the words of one of the qualified players, Italian Massimiliano Assini, who, besides thanking Titan Poker for the opportunity, didn’t miss the chance to praise the poker room’s generally professional attitude towards online poker.
The lineup for the event is a fine mix of experienced professionals, and more or less experienced amateurs, but given the history of the pro-am confrontations at the
