Full Tilt Poker Opens Play Money Tables

Full Tilt Poker is expected to re-launch on November 6, but non-US players with accounts at the site were able to set foot “inside” today, hitting the play money tables. While play money action is usually quite irrelevant, this time around, it carried special significance. What’s even more important though is that players were also able to view their balances and to transfer their monies to PokerStars, from where they’ll be able to cash out. Full Tilt’s poker room manager, Shyam Marcus was the one who broke the news at a popular poker forum, letting the public know that the software was available for downloading and offering links to some of the early promotions we’ve already discussed in past articles.
Visually, the interface is pretty much the same as it was when the site was shut down in the wake of the Black Friday indictments. The images of the poker pros representing the site have changed though. Gus Hansen, Viktor Blom and Tom Dwan are now featured on the various screens instead of the old crew.

There’s an interesting new addition in the cashier section as well: a brand new “Transfer to PokerStars” button. Initially, that button was inactive, but players have later reported that they were successful in transferring their monies.
According to Marcus, the first few days of the site being back online are something of a beta-testing period, after which several new features will be rolled out.
Only players from non-US regulated online poker markets can currently see their balances. While they can indeed log in, US players can only see $0.00 in their balances, even though their monies are all there. US players will be repaid through the US DoJ.
