“New To the Game” at Full Tilt Poker?

“New To the Game” at Full Tilt Poker?

Full Tilt Poker have always been innovators software-wise (remember Rush Poker?), and they are apparently sticking to that time-honored tradition. While providing various new ways for high-volume players to put their skills to the use is definitely always a priority for every online poker operation, many of the lesser sites simply ignore their beginners, which is indeed a potentially major mistake, since today’s beginners may well turn out to be tomorrow’s high volume grinders. The bottom line is that Full Tilt have managed to cover this side of their software offering as well: they now offer specially designed “New To the Game” tables for their newbies.
The new tables are available for cash game- as well as for tournament action. They feature slower games and various tips offering rather useful information on hand strength. The “New To the Game” tables cover the smallest stakes, and they limit multi-tabling to two simultaneously open tables.

The easiest way to get to the new beginners’ tables is by opening up the Full Tilt lobby in Basic View mode and simply searching for one’s preferred game. Basic View is a mode designed for beginners, which offers step-by-step instructions. When one searches for his/her preferred game in Basic View mode, he/she will be directed to the new “New To the Game” tables automatically. Players have to be eligible to play at the “New To the Game” tables. If they do not fit the mold, they’ll be directed to the standard tables instead of the beginner ones from Basic View.
How is eligibility determined? For cash games, the number of hands played will be considered, while for tournaments, the number of SNGs and MTTs one has under his/her belt. Different poker variants have no effect on eligibility.
