Tony Dunst secured the chip lead at the end of day 4 of the
2010 WSOP Big Dance, a day which saw the money bubble burst too. Dunst managed to amass a 1.5 million chip stack to finish atop the provisional leader board.
Dunst made his dash to the finish line as the money bubble drew near, when he took down two massive pots to pump his stack over the 1 million mark. One of these pots saw Dunst tangle with Isaac Krantz. Dunst was the one who kicked off the action with a raise from the SB, holding K,10. Krantz mounted a defense of his BB, making the call to see a flop of 10,6,2. Dunst was the one who ignited the fuse again and Krantz re-raised him this time. Dunst made the call and the 3c fell on the turn. There was another bet before the river which came down a Kc, giving Dunst a two pair. Sure enough, it was well enough for the win and Dunst took down 1.2 million chips in that pot alone.
Dunst is not the only “name” pro to have amassed such a dominating stack though. Close behind him in the chip counts are Phil Galfond and Adam Levy, not to mention the multiple champion, Johnny Chan, who’s got all railbird eyes on him as the November 9 approaches.
PokerStars’ JP Kelly joined the leaders too, with exactly 1 million chips.
Johnny Lodden had a good
poker tournament too, together with Jason Mercier and Vanessa Selbst.
The Mizrachi invasion suffered a minor setback when Eric busted out shortly after the money bubble had burst.
