2011 WSOP – Day 32 Wrap-Up

Day 32 of the 2011 WSOP awarded a bracelet. Also, it saw several events roll on and new ones get started.
Event #50, the $5k Triple Chance NL Holdem one, saw 34 players return for its Day 3. The goal for the day was to play down to at least the final table. The final table was indeed reached and Vanessa Peng, who started the day with the largest stack, was among those who made it. Poker pro Eric Froehlich (who used to play in many of the PokerStars sponsored live events) also made the final stretch.
When the final table was reached, the chip leader was Mikhail Yakovlev. The action was called as the
field reached the final four, on account of the 10-level rule. Adam Geyer was the one who led the field at the end of the day.

Event #51, the $1,500 PLO event, continued with its second day. 134 players returned to the tables, looking to play past the money bubble. Jeremie Guez busted out in 91st place to land the remaining 90 players in the money. Alexandre Gomes and Kathy Liebert were both involved in his elimination.
At the end of the day, only 10 players remained in contention. David Sands is the one who will lead the survivors into the final day.

The $2.5k NL Holdem Mixed event also returned to its second day, with 153 players showing up at the tables. The money bubble was reached and Justin Smith was the one who earned the boot as the bubble boy.
Once the money-bubble hurdle was out of the way, the action sped up drastically, so by the end of the day, the official final table was reached. Noah Boeken, Matt Matros and Matt Hawrilenko all made the final stretch.

Event #53, the $1k NL Holdem Ladies Championship, kicked off on day 32 with 1,055 ladies buying into the action. 10 levels were played, at the end of which 141 players remained. Celine Bastian will start the second day as the chip leader. Erica Schoenberg and Amanda Baker survived on decent stacks too.
