Hit hard by the Black Friday indictments, Absolute Poker and UB have had their funds blocked in various offshore accounts by the DoJ. Due to that fact, combined with the general lack of reliability of the two Cereus sites, we no longer recommend that you deposit and play at Absolute Poker and UB. We can no longer guarantee the safety of player deposits headed their way.
If you’re interested in playing on similar caliber sites, we recommend Bodog and bwin poker.

Absolute Poker offers an instant play, no-download java version of its software too, for those who cannot – for any reason – download the full client. While this option may come in extremely handy for those who don’t have a choice (don’t play poker at work though), in order to experience everything the room has to offer, you have to download the client.
In Absolute Poker’s case, this means you’ll have to download about 8.97MB, which is not a lot by any standards. As soon as you hit the download button on our site, you’ll be asked whether you want to download the kit, or you’d rather run it from its current location. We recommend you choose “save” and download it, so that you can re-install it at any point in the future if something happens to your OS or computer, and you lose data.
Once saved, double click the kit to start installation. It may have to download updates from the internet, so make sure you are connected. Follow the wizard’s recommendations through the installation process.
As soon as installation is completed, the software will start and attempt to connect to the Absolute Poker server. Make sure your connection is not blocked by a firewall, or an anti-virus program. If you experience problems of that nature contact your network administrator or AP’s support staff.
When you connect to the AP server, you’ll be able to see and navigate the main lobby without problems. You’ll be able to check out the action at the tables, but if you attempt to take a seat, you’ll be prompted for a username and password. Create an AP account before getting down to play.
After your account is created, you’ll be able to make a deposit through the cashier, accessible from the main lobby.
