Hit hard by the Black Friday indictments, Absolute Poker and UB have had their funds blocked in various offshore accounts by the DoJ. Due to that fact, combined with the general lack of reliability of the two Cereus sites, we no longer recommend that you deposit and play at Absolute Poker and UB. We can no longer guarantee the safety of player deposits headed their way.
If you’re interested in playing on similar caliber sites, we recommend Bodog and bwin poker.
Absolute Poker is aware of the fact that poker is a social game – even if it’s played online. Therefore, it allows you to invite your friends along to play, and what’s more, it even rewards you for it. You and your friend will both benefit from the setup. You’ll earn an extra $75 bonus, and your friend will get $50 extra. You’ll be allowed to refer as many of your friends as you wish.

Here’s how the setup works, step by step: first you fill out your friend’s email in the online form offered by AP. Your friend will then receive an email inviting him to sign up to AP and to open an account. As soon as he does, you’ll receive an email which informs you on the fact that your friend has indeed joined. Your friend needs to make a minimum deposit of $50 to qualify for the promotion. Once he does that, you’ll be notified again.

Once he completes 200 raked hands (each of which has to generate a minimum of 50 cents in rake) his bonus account will be credited with an extra $50, and yours with an extra $75. Remember, this comes on top of the regular sign up bonus.

Your “refer a friend” bonus will have to be unlocked the same way your regular bonus is required to be.

Your friend has to be new to AP and has to open his/her account within 60 days of the receipt of the invitation email.
If you refer a friend who shares computer (or IP address) with you, you’ll have to submit proof of identity for both of you.
