On your marks, get set go! It's the Christmas Marathon Ranking 2009 at Betsson Poker and there's everything to play for with a BLIVE package up for grabs.
There are lots of races around Christmas; the race to the holidays, the race to do all your shopping in time, the race to get that perfect tree, but now there's another race, the Betsson Christmas Marathon, and we're sure that the prizes are better than anything you'll find in your stocking.
To celebrate the holiday period, Betsson Poker is running a sixteen part marathon. The marathon is made up of 16 individual tournaments, 2 a day starting from December 21st and running through until December 28th. On each of the days of the Christmas Marathon Ranking period players need to partake in these two tournaments and then at the end of the period Betsson will sum up the top rankers from the promotion, the top 50 of whom will be invited to play in a New Year's day final. The final will be held at 20:00 CET, giving you plenty of time to recover from your hangover, and the winner will receive a BLIVE package worth around $3,600, giving you plenty of reason to go right back out and celebrate again.
The two daily tournaments are as follows. The fist tournament of each day is called the Christmas Marathon Cheap roll and with a buy-in of $2 + 0.20 it's easy to guess why. The Christmas Marathon Cheap roll is a re-buy turbo tournament with $200 added cash, and will get started at 16:00 CET. The second tournament is the Christmas Marathon Deep. This is a deep stack freezeout tournament with a $10 + 1 buy-in, $400 in added cash, and BLIVE qualifier tickets thrown in as well.
