Durrrr challenge: Dwan pulls away

With Isildur1 out of the way and with the storm generated by the circumstances of his bust-out not concerning them, Dwan and Antonius finally decided to convene for another Durrrr challenge session at Full Tilt Poker, thus reviving the online poker series that looked all but forgotten a couple of weeks ago.
This session was a 29,764 hand one and its end saw Dwan finish $225,715 in the black, extending his overall series lead to $937,271.

The latest session in the durrrr challenge saga was a true see-saw deal. Dwan was the one who sped out of the gate, grinding out $125,000 in winnings before the Finn bounced back. As the tide turned, Antonius was quick to make Dwan’s winnings disappear and he charged ahead about $225,000 before Lady Luck had a change of heart again.

Far off the marks set by Isildur1’s online poker rampage, this challenge session recorded a few 6-figure pots nonetheless. The first one of them came about during the first 30 minutes of action. After the usual preflop action, the flop fell A,7,6 rainbow and Antonius fired out a $6,000 bet. Dwan called to see the 2c land on the turn. Antonius was the one who took the initiative again, and made it $19, 200. The Qh fell on the river and Antonius decided to back off a little. Capitalizing on the weakness shown by his opponent, Dwan shoved all in for $57,600. Antonius eventually made the call, but Dwan had a pair of flopped aces that he couldn’t best. This monster was a $169,594 one.

The largest pot of the session was a $259,000 one, and it came about 2 hours into the session. This one ended up in Dwan’s possession too after his J,10,5,4 hit a straight on the J,8,6,3,2 board.
Only two pots broke the $200k mark, the second one being a $238,000 one. That baby ended up on Dwan’s side of the table too. When the money went all-in, Antonius held top two pair on a board of K,J,7 with his K,Q,J,9. Dwan on the other hand, had J,10,9,8 for the straight draw. The 7c on the turn conserved Antonius’ lead, but the 9c on the river gave Dwan the second largest pot of the online poker session.

Hopefully, now that other nosebleed action has subsided, the two durrrr challenge protagonists will convene more often and complete their nearly one year old undertaking.
