EPT London Main Event – Day 2 Report

The second day of the
EPT’s London Main Event saw more than 240 players belly up to the tables. By the end of the day, only 114 were left standing and while plenty of “name” players bit the dust through the day, plenty of them managed to secure their Day 3 seats. When everything was said and done, Mantas Visockis stood on top with the largest stack of chips, although he won’t be able to relax for a second on day 3 given the caliber of the competitors breathing down his neck.
Steven Silverman finished the day in third place, with 480.3k chips to Visockis’ 522k. Mike McDonald finished 4th with 422.1k chips.
Chris Moorman had logged a great run on day 1B and on day 2, he continued right where he’d left off. He made the top 10 as well finishing in 7th place, with 380k chips to his name. The last “name” player in the top 10 was Theo Jorgensen, whose 333.5k chips were enough to clinch 10th place.
Even though he failed to make the end of the day top 10 of the
poker tournament, Viktor Blom stole much of the limelight on Day 2.
Full Tilt Poker’s pro was on a roll. He was active and engaged all day long and at one point he even had the chip lead. Even though his stack towered at more than 500k when he took the lead, Blom failed to make the top 10 or even the top 20. He finished in 25th place, with a healthy stack, so he will definitely be one player to watch on day 3.
Steve O’Dwyer and Barny Boatman made the cut too. Jason Mercier and Liv Boeree will return on day 3 too, together with Toby Lewis and Phillip Gruissem.
