EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Preview

The Monte Carlo Grand Final of the
EPT’s 9th season is set to run between May 6 and May 15 officially wrapping up the season. The week-long affair will feature no fewer than 50 events, among which the €10k Main Event, the €100k Super High Roller and the €25k High Roller stand out. The venue hosting the Series will be the usual one: the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort. Needless to say, online qualifiers are already running for several events from the series at PokerStars, and some of these qualifiers only cost a couple of bucks to enter.
With that much going on, organizers expect droves of players to descend upon Monte Carlo. Where are all these players going to sleep/eat though?
PokerStars have that aspect of the tournament series pretty much covered as well.
They have struck a partnership with some of the hotels in the area, which have cut special rates for EPT players. Thus, the le Meridien Beach Plaza, a mere 3 minutes walking distance from the actual venue, offers a complete package for poker players which includes high speed Wi-Fi access (for those who can’t stay away from the online tables even while playing in an EPT event), safe deposit boxes (for those obviously who walk away with money from the tables), room service, fitness center, private beach and pretty much every other amenity one can think of. Those looking to bunk there will have to be prepared to part with about €260 a night.
The Fairmont Monte Carlo is a great destination for EPT players as well. It’s a tad further away, but it is reachable within 5 minutes from the tournament area via a cab. The Fairmont is a luxury destination as well. Special EPT rates are about €239 a night.
