EPT Tallinn – Day 4 Report

The goal for the 4th day of the EPT’s Tallinn Main Event was to reach the official final table, and that goal was indeed handily achieved. Ronny Kaiser of Switzerland was the one who started the day with the largest stack of chips, and he was the one who had the lead at the end of the day too.
24 players returned to action at the beginning of the 4th day. While everyone was already in the money, all of these players were probably fully intent on making it all the way to the title.
Michael Graydon’s title hopes went up in a puff of smoke almost as soon as the action kicked off: Graydon picked up pocket Ks and decided to stake his tournament life on them. Kaiser was the one who made the call with A,K and then proceeded to hit a straight as the board fell 2,Q,10,J,10.
That proved to be only the first addition to Kaiser’s stack on Day 4. He kept picking up chips through the day, and at the end of it, he finished with a 2,394,000 stack. Grzegorz Cichocki was also one of the large stacks and he played well on day 4 too. He finished with 2,059,000 chips.

While he does indeed hold a massive lead going into the final stretch, Kaiser shouldn’t take the title for granted: some pretty capable opponents have also made the cut, among them Sami Kelopuro, who used to crush Full Tilt Poker’s high stakes tables when the site was still online. Kelopuro appears to be in peak shape these days, coming off some pretty impressive WSOP and SCOOP performances. Kelopuro has also finished in the money in no fewer than 3 EPT events, so he is definitely not an EPT rookie.
Other ‘name’ players to make the final table were: Stuart Fox, Jani Sointula and Erlend Malsom. Given the amount of talent squeezed into the final stretch, the last day of action promises to be quite an eventful one.
