The 10th day of
Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS XXII saw the 26th event of the series go into the books, which leaves 12 more events to go and around $5 million in guaranteed prizes.
Event #24 was the first FTOPS event of Day 10. A total of 412 players coughed up the $216 buy-in for this one, creating a prize-pool of $82.4k, handily covering the $75k original guarantee. There weren’t any deals at the top of this event. The winner, bennyblanko1tda, pocketed $18.1k. He bested Joseph Spanne heads-up who was the “name” player who made the deepest run: his second place was worth $11.9k. None of the other players made it into 5-figure territory.
Bolivar Palacios made a relatively deep run as well: he finished 26th for a $494 prize.
Event #25 saw 146 players belly up to its tables. The $216 Five-Card Stud 6-max event didn’t offer a particularly generous guarantee to begin with, and despite the relatively shallow starting field, it was covered in the end: the resulting prize-pool was a $29.2k one.
This
poker tournament saw a 2-way deal at its top: the eventual winner, Leqenden13 walked away with $6.86k. The runner-up, bond25459, took home $6.25k for his efforts.
Joseph Cheong made a nice deep run in this event: he finished 3rd, picking up $3.7k. Another deep finishing notable was Stephen Chidwick, who pocketed $1.89k for his 5th place.
The biggest FTOPS winner of the day came from event #26, $109
NL Holdem Turbo Re-buy and Add-on event, which saw a field of 799 players belly up to its tables? This event truly put its guarantee to shame: instead of the initially advertised $60k, players did battle for a $199k prize-pool. There weren’t any deals made in this event either: Ladbrokes finished on top, collecting $45.7k.
