Full Tilt Poker Adds New Pros

Full Tilt Poker’s “The Professionals” have been a formidable election of characters from the get-go, but that didn’t change the fact that the site’s roster of in-house pros has also always appeared to be a shallow one, especially in comparison to the old crew and to PokerStars’ team of pros.
The other day, Full Tilt have announced that they had finally made the long-awaited and anticipated move of adding to their roster. The four Tour Ambassadors who make up the new entries have been added with a specific purpose in mind: to represent the operation at the UK and Ireland Poker Tour’s various stops.
The players are Martins Adeniya, Sinem Melin, Ben Jenkins and Dermot Blain. The crew will make its debut in Full Tilt’s colors at the Full Tilt Poker Galway Festival which kicks off on July 27. The Festival will feature a total of 60 events, culminating in a Main Event which offers a guaranteed prize-pool of $1 million. The buy-in to the Main Event is €2k and there will be a €10k High Roller as well.

Martins Adeniya is a player who needs no introduction for those who have been around the virtual green felt for a while. His top online poker achievement is a 3rd place finish in Full Tilt’s FTOPS Main Event, a feat which netted him a $180k reward.

Dermot Blain is also a “name” competitor. One of the best poker players from Ireland, he quite literally burst onto the poker scene in 2009, when he won the APPT’s Macau Main Event, taking home the $540k top prize. He did well in the WSOP Europe Main Event as well, in 2011, when he finished 5th for yet another significant cash. Overall, he’s earned more than $1.3 million in various tournaments.
Sinem Melin and Brian Jenkins are the two less known players, who have obviously been added for their future potential.
