Full Tilt Poker prepares for WSOP

With the biggest yearly live poker event drawing near, all the major online poker rooms pull out the best of their offers. The number of WSOP seats offered not only for the Big Dance but also for the WSOP side events, will undoubtedly exceed last year’s.
With the registration already open, the race to attract players and to make them play in the various online WSOP qualifiers has entered the home straight.
Full Tilt Poker, one of the two biggest online poker rooms is – as always – a front-runner in this yearly WSOP promotions race.
One of their promos is a peculiarly interesting one: the $10 Million Main Event Mania. The most interesting thing about this promotion is that so far nobody has been able to actually cash in on it, which leaves us with the suspense each year that maybe this will be the year that Full Tilt’s exceptionally generous yet so difficult to reach prize-pool will finally find a home.
The closest call so far, one that probably rattled the snake pit at Full Tilt a little bit, was that of Lee Watkinson, who managed to earn his WSOP Big Dance seat through a Full Tilt qualifier in 2007. Watkinson then went on to make it all the way to the final table, busting out in 8th place eventually. With the ever increasing number of online players that Full Tilt sends to the Big Dance each year, whether somebody will take the $10 million Main Event Mania prize down is only a question of time.
Full Tilt runs a whole array of various WSOP qualifiers and among the huge number of WSOP Main Event packages, it offers entries to the WSOP side events too.
One of their promos to keep an eye on is the ‘150 Seat Guarantee’, one giant MTT tournament which will give the top 150 finishers a WSOP Main Event package each. The prize-pool of the event is a massive $1.8 million (that’s how much the prize packages add up to), and it probably represents one of the best odds online WSOP qualifiers anywhere.
