Full Tilt Poker to Re-launch Black Card

The recently released traffic numbers which illustrated
Full Tilt Poker’s steep decline in active cash game players obviously rang an alarm bell for the site’s executives who – in light of the unfavorable data – decided to revive Full Tilt’s Black Card loyalty program, together with other attractive loyalty deals for high-volume players. One aspect of the revamped loyalty program is about allowing VIPs at other sites to transfer their status to Full Tilt. Those who become Black Card members will be able to turn all the FTP points they earn into cash at full value, which means that by maxing out every possible deal, it will be possible for such players to secure a 40% cash-back, which will land in their real money account once a week.
Everything described above will be coupled with a sponsorship program, which – as the site puts is – has been created by players for players, and which is a result-based system. Beginning with the month of July, Full Tilt will begin offering a number of sponsorship contracts each month. Players will be judged on how well they perform at the cash- the SNG- and the MTT tables (other categories will be included as well) and those who earn it, will get a sponsorship contract.
According to Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt’s head of marketing, the site will enlist the help of the
poker community in setting the metrics used to determine performance.
While most of the above described measures are indeed interesting and attractive-looking, the VIP amnesty deal may be something of an underhanded blow aimed at the competition. Under the deal, VIP players of other sites will be allowed to sample Full Tilt’s Black Card programs and Edge Rewards, in exchange for providing photographic evidence of their VIP status at another site.
