Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS XXIII Schedule Released

With the 2013 WSOP Main Event slowly playing down towards it closing stages, the eyes of the poker world will snap back to the online poker tables within a few days and when they do, there will plenty there for them to see, courtesy of Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS XXIII. Full Tilt Poker went ahead yesterday and announced the official schedule of the 23rd edition of its hit online poker series, which will kick off an August 4, with a $215 NL Holdem Re-entry event.
Overall, the FTOPS XIII will feature 39 events and it will give away more than $8 million in guaranteed prizes.

The schedule is definitely a step in the right direction, considering that it will offer an event more than the previous edition (22nd). Still, the record set by the FTOPS XX – which featured 45 events – will remain standing. Starting on August 4 as said above, the Series will wind down on August 18. The Main Event will obviously be the highlight of the Series. Featuring a buy-in of $635, the Main Event offers a $1.5 million guarantee and it will feature a NL Holdem Re-Entry format. Judging by the last FTOPS Main event - which was that of the FTOPS XXII this March, and which awarded $2.2 million in prizes - the FTOPS XXIII Main Event is expected to be an even bigger success. The winner of the FTOPS XXII Main Event was a player known by the online moniker “feel fine” and he ended up pocketing a $392.3k prize.

As far as game selection goes, the FTOPS XXIII will be quite flexible indeed: there will be PLO, Razz, Stud, Omaha Hi/Lo, 2-7 Triple Draw and Stud Hi/Lo events, not to mention the various NL Holdem Mixed tournaments.

Full Tilt Poker is a cash game player’s dream, but events like the FTOPS are certain to boost its tournament standing too.
